 Stately luxury and sumptuous materials have always characterized the Washington Duke Inn and Golf Club at Duke University.  Inspired by an English Tudor Manor it sits in the Forest of Duke University just a short stroll from the iconic Duke Chapel. I have had the great honor of touching every space in the inn during my seventeen-year tenure as their designer. I am equally honored to be working on a complete transformation of their public spaces, conference center and luxury suites, including the presidential suite, which we hope to unveil in 2021.  We remain devoted to preserving the character of this grand hotel, but like Kate Middleton we will be bringing a fresh interpretation of traditional design, one might say traditional with an edge, to the storied hotel. When you visit try not to miss the extraordinary collection of Duke family heirlooms that grace the inn.
