High Point Trends 2015 - Garbarino of Monaco

Twice each year, thousands of designers from around the globe descend upon the small city of High Point, NC for the International Home Furnishings Market. For five frenzied days the design press, residential and commercial designers, shop keepers, and major retailers sift through thousands of new designs for furniture, lighting, rugs, and accessories that will set the trends for the coming year. The InterHall is one of the most innovative venues at market. Here one always finds the new and the innovative. I had the great pleasure of covering the market for Baskervill, the world-class design firm I call home, and for The Art of Fine Living and discovered a number of new resources. Garbarino of Monaco, was perhaps the most exciting new introduction, exhibiting for their first time in High Point. A father and son team, David's English was impeccable while his father, the creative spirit behind the brand, spoke very little English. Their sublime furniture designs, however, needed no explanation; the design, material palettes, and craftsmanship were simply superb. Feast your eyes on a few of their extraoridinary creations.
