A New Collection with Purpose, Tanzania from Kravet and J. Banks Design

For its first-ever fabric collection, South Carolina-based J Banks Design Group collaborated with Kravet to create a line of performance fabrics that offer a residential style and feel. Tanzania presents modern interpretations of traditional African tribal designs through graphically stunning patterns and textures inspired by founder and president Joni Vanderslice's many trips to Africa.

One particularly impactful trip to Africa for Vanderslice led to the creation of the Valentine Project, a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving the orphans of Tanzania. On July 5, 2015, the Valentine Project opened the doors to its first orphanage in Dar es Salaam. A portion of the proceeds from the J Banks Collection will be donated to The Valentine Project. For more information, visit www.valentineproject.org.

One of the standouts at the recent BDNY Event, the Tanzania Collection from Kravet by J. Banks, inspiredby traditional African Textiles.
